Nature's Explorers: History & Mystery – Finding Clues to Colonial America

Travel back 250 years and discover what life was like in central Pennsylvania during the early days of America! Join us for a hands-on outdoor adventure where families will explore the landscape, search for clues to colonial life, and learn how history can be uncovered through the natural world.

Led by Bruce Teeple, from the Union County Historical Society, participants will investigate the environment around Dale's Ridge, examine historical images and maps, and discover what the land can tell us about the people who lived here during the colonial era. Along the way, we'll even explore some of Benjamin Franklin's famous "lessons for the young and old."

This engaging program is designed for adults and children to learn together through exploration, observation, and discovery.
