BVRA's Parent's Night Out with the LCM

BVRA will be partnering with the Lewisburg Children's Museum to host a special parent's night out during the Late Night Shoppers event in Lewisburg. Kids will have time in the museum followed by pizza, popcorn, and a movie. Pricing structure is as follows $25 for one child, + $10 for each subsequent child. Join us for Celebrations of Light, where we'll 'deck our halls' to learn about the many different ways that people in our community and around the world celebrate the holidays... with light! Olaf Snow Globes

Do you want to build a snow globe? Let's kick off the first day of winter with Olaf themed swirling snow globes! Each child will get to put together their very own snow globe to take home and also learn the science behind mixing oil and water. Rockin' New Year's Eve Party

Ring in the New Year with the Lewisburg Children's Museum! Join us for our Fourth Annual London themed family event with Big Ben chiming at "Midnight" London time (7pm Eastern time). Celebrate a Rockin’ New Year’s Eve with your family and get the kids to bed at a reasonable hour! There will be appetizers, STEAM activities, make your own musical instruments, and a countdown to Midnight with a viewing of London fireworks, and MORE! New this year- the Bucket Brigade, which will feature bucket drumming, musical instruments, parachute fun, and a celebration of the New Year with bouncing balls. Festive holiday attire encouraged, but not required. Limited tickets are available, so get your tickets early; last year we sold out! Tickets are available through December 15th at $15 per person for guests 1 year and older, $20 per person December 16-26th. Online ticket sales end December 26.
The Inside Scoop on Soil

Join our friends from Union County Conservation District as they share the inside scoop on soil layers, erosion, and the importance of healthy soil. Each child will build their own soil layers using pudding, Oreos, and gummy worms for an extra tasty treat. Design your own toy! In this workshop, explore how to bring fun ideas to life through your curiosity, imagination, and creativity. Each young designer will leave the workshop with a toy they have designed and built. Drop off is available, but parents are welcome to stay and play with us, or join us for the last 30 minutes of the workshop for the 2020 Lewisburg Children's Museum Toy Expo. Workshop is recommended for children ages 7 and up. Registration is required. Workshop is $5 per designer; museum admission is separate.

Join us for a Spanish learning fiesta! Enjoy a free demo family Spanish Class with Señora Linda Kander, where you will learn and enjoy the basics of Spanish through stories, songs, and games. Two 45- minute Spanish Classes will be offered 1) 10:30am for ages 3-5 2) 11:30am for ages 6-8. Sign up will be available day of for the demo class on a first come, first serve basis. Guests can also enjoy making a musical maracas throughout this program. Program is free with general admission or membership.
Blowing in the Wind

Let the wind blow you to the LCM for this STEM workshop! Air is everywhere- but how do we know it exists if we can't see it? Join us for this Leap into Science workshop and explore the properties of wind and air by designing a wind detector. Leap into Science is a nationwide program from The Franklin Institute Science Museum that integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books. Children and families will explore the science of wind through hands-on activities, while learning to think like scientists. Program is free with general admission or membership. Recommended for children 5-10 years old.

It’s a Pizza ParDEE sponsored by T.I.M.E. through the Conagra Brands Foundation! Join us in the kitchen to prepare, cook, and eat a pizza pie while learning more about the yummy ingredients we will use. Each child will also create an egg carton herb garden to take home for their next pizza making session. Program is recommended for children ages 6 and up. Registration required.
