Toddler Time is an interactive program for children ages 2-5 and their caregiver. Toddler Time includes a story time, sing-a-long, and/or hands-on learning activities. Program is free with general admission or membership.

Let the wind blow you to the LCM for this Family STEM Night workshop!  The LCM is open late!

Air is everywhere- but how do we know it exists if we can't see it? Join us for this Leap into Science workshop and investigate the properties of wind and air in a series of hands-on activity stations. Leap into Science is a nationwide program from The Franklin Institute Science Museum that integrates open-ended science activities with children’s books. During the event, enter a drawing to win a free book! Recommended for families and children 3-10 years old and is free with general admission or membership.

 

Family STEM Balance Workshop

Join us for this Leap into Science family STEM workshop and investigate the properties of balance in a series of hands-on activity stations. PLUS- enjoy special activities with Buffalo Valley Recreation Authority’s Gymnastics program that help us investigate balance. Get those bodies moving! Pine Cone Bird Feeders

March is a cold and snowy month and our feathery friends want your help!! Make a pine cone bird feeder to take home and hang outside your house.  These yummy pine cones will surely draw a crowd, or a flock! Program is free with general admission or membership and recommended for children ages 3 and up.  *Bird seed recipe will contain nuts.

Museum Makers: Leprechaun Houses

Saturday, March 14⋅11:00am – 12:00pm

Join us for this STEM building challenge to make gingerbread-style Leprechaun Houses.  We’ll use graham crackers, icing, and lots of yummy candy to construct a special and unique house for a tiny, mischievous visitor just in time for St. Patrick’s Day. Program is recommended for ages 5 and up and registration is required. Cost is $5 material fee plus general admission.

POP!@LCM: Rainbow Rain Experiment

Wednesday, March 18⋅10:00am – 12:00pm

Calling little scientists! Join us for this fun and interactive weather based science experiment as we simulate a rain cloud with rainbow colored rain! Program is free with general admission or membership and recommended for children ages 3 - 6.

LCM HeARTS Art!

Join LCM as we celebrate Youth Art Month. Hands-on stations will introduce children to historical artists and provide museum visitors the opportunity to create their own mini masterpieces! Program is included with general admission or membership and recommended for children ages 5 and up.
