Meet a Geologist at Dale's Ridge (November 18)
Time & Location
About The Event
See the Dale’s Ridge Trail as you’ve never seen it before! Stations facilitated by Jeff Trop and Ellen Chamberlain, University Geology and Environmental Geoscience professors, will give kids a chance to study fossils, sediment, riparian plant life, and water quality up close and hands-on. We’ll learn how farms like the Dale Engle Walker property fit in the wider watershed of the Susquehanna River, and what we can do to keep our streams healthy. Program hosted by the Union County Historical Society and co-sponsored by the Merrill Linn Conservancy and Lewisburg Children's Museum.
Recommended for children ages 5 and up. Masks are required and COVID precautions will be followed. This event is $10 per family. Space is limited.
